Transform your career with Minnesota Reading Corps:
- Through the MNGOT (Minnesota Grown your Own Teacher) Program, you can earn a master’s degree and an elementary teaching license through the University of Minnesota at little to no cost to you. Available to AmeriCorps members with a bachelor’s degree.
Essential qualifications to serve with Minnesota Reading Corps:
- Strong interest in education, specifically in helping elementary students develop their literacy skills
- Demonstrated commitment to the community
- Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- 18 years of age or older (no upper age limit!) and high school diploma or equivalent by the program start date
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
